CMS version 2.1 released January 12th, 2010
I’m happy to announce that version 2.1 of the Etianen.com Content Management System has now been released. This provides the following major improvements to the software:
- Browse for files and images on the server using a WYSIWYG file browser.
- Reply directly to messages send via website contact forms.
- Faster and more efficient public page rendering.
- Upgraded WYSIWYG editor software.
- Numerous small improvements and bug fixes.
The most prominent feature in this release is the long-awaited WYSIWYG file browser. This has been requested by many CMS users who manage large websites, and makes finding files and images on the server much easier. You can now filter by folder, search by filename, or even upload files and images directly into the editor, without ever leaving the page.
Even better, this release is fully compatible with the previous version of the CMS (2.0.1), making it easy to upgrade existing CMS sites to the new release. Sites that have been subscribed to our support service will receive this update automatically over the next few weeks.
